Here’s the truth: the biggest mistake people make when trying to heal chronic illness is continuing to eat the foods that are feeding their pathogens. whether they know it or not.

It doesn’t matter how much celery juice you drink or how many supplements you take — if you’re still eating eggs for breakfast, putting butter in your food, or treating yourself to “gluten-free” baked goods on the weekend as cheat meal, you’re feeding the viruses and bacteria that are causing your symptoms.


The Problem

According to Medical Medium teachings, chronic illness isn’t caused by your body “attacking itself.” It’s caused by pathogens — Epstein-Barr virus, shingles, streptococcus, and others — that are living in your body, feeding off specific foods, and creating your symptoms.

When you remove healing foods but don’t fully eliminate the troublemaker foods, you’re giving these pathogens exactly what they need to survive and multiply.

The Troublemaker Foods (That People Keep Eating)

Eggs — Even organic, pasture-raised eggs feed viruses like EBV. Anthony William teaches that eggs were used in laboratories to cultivate viruses, and pathogens learned to thrive on them.

Dairy — All dairy (butter, ghee, cheese, yogurt, kefir) creates mucus, feeds pathogens, and blocks your liver’s ability to detoxify.

Gluten — Feeds streptococcus bacteria, which causes acne, UTIs, SIBO, and chronic inflammation.

Fermented foods — Despite the gut-health hype, kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi feed the wrong bacteria in your system.

Caffeine — Coffee, matcha, and chocolate stress your adrenals and burden your liver.

Vinegar — Including apple cider vinegar. It feeds pathogens.


Why “Moderation” Doesn’t Work

The most common justification I hear is: “But I only eat it once a week” or “I just have a little bit.”

Here’s the reality: pathogens don’t care about moderation. When you give them even a small amount of their favorite food, they feed, they multiply, and they produce the waste that creates your symptoms — fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, pain, skin issues, digestive problems.

If you want to heal, you have to stop feeding them. Completely.


What You Should Be Eating Instead

Instead of focusing on what you’re removing, flood your body with healing foods that starve pathogens and support detoxification:

  • Lemon water — 16–32oz first thing in the morning
  • Celery juice — 16–32oz on an empty stomach
  • Wild blueberries — Pull heavy metals out of your brain
  • Fresh fruit — Apples, bananas, berries, melons, papayas
  • Leafy greens — Spinach, arugula, kale, lettuce
  • Potatoes & sweet potatoes — Support your adrenals
  • Fresh herbs — Cilantro, parsley, basil
  • Raw honey — The only healing sweetener

The Hard Truth

You can’t do the Medical Medium protocols “halfway” and expect full healing.

You can’t drink celery juice in the morning and then eat scrambled eggs for breakfast.

You can’t do the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie and then have cheese on your salad.

You can’t remove gluten but keep eating fermented foods and expect your gut to heal.
