In this post, I’m sharing a full day of Medical Medium-aligned healing teas — morning through evening — rooted directly in Anthony William’s teachings from books like Cleanse to Heal, Liver Rescue, Life-Changing Foods, and Medical Medium. Whether you’re brand new to the MM protocols or already deep in your healing journey, this routine will give you a simple, practical way to make these powerful herbs part of your everyday life.
Why Medical Medium Healing Teas Are Different
This is important — and it’s something I always share with my coaching clients right away.
Not all teas are created equal, and many popular “detox tea” blends on the market contain ingredients that Anthony William does not recommend — including caffeine-heavy green tea or matcha (which are hard on the adrenals), black tea, and various synthetic blends marketed as “cleansing” but doing very little real healing work.
Anthony William’s preferred healing teas include Nettle Leaf, Lemon Balm, Chaga, Licorice, Rose Hip, Raspberry Leaf, Reishi, Chamomile, and more — all specific herbs chosen for their ability to support the liver, adrenals, gut, immune system, and nervous system at a deep level.

Here’s a full day of MM-aligned teas, each chosen to match what your body is doing at that time of day. Think of this as your raw healing ritual — simple, intentional, and deeply supportive.

1. Morning — Start with Lemon Balm Tea
Before anything else, Anthony William recommends starting your morning with the morning routine — the cornerstone of the MM morning protocol. After that 15–20 minute window, your first healing tea of the day is Lemon Balm.
Lemon balm is one of the most versatile and beloved herbs in the entire Medical Medium world — and for good reason. Lemon balm detoxifies the liver, spleen, and kidneys, and helps reduce bladder inflammation. It is also anti-parasitic, antiviral, and antibacterial throughout the body, and Anthony William notes it fights the Epstein-Barr virus and other herpetic viruses.
Lemon balm is wonderful for addressing digestive issues, nerve-related problems, nausea, loss of appetite, and more with its soothing properties. Its bioactive phytochemicals calm the nerve receptors at the digestive tract so that the nerves become less sensitized and inflammation reduces — making it an ideal way to ease your body into the day.
Morning Lemon Balm Tea Recipe (MM-aligned):
- 1–2 tsp dried lemon balm leaves (or a generous handful of fresh)
- 1 cup hot water
- Optional: squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- Optional: 1 tsp raw honey (Anthony William recommends raw honey
as an antiviral that helps feed and revitalize the thyroid)
Steep for at least 10 minutes — the longer the better.
Sweeten with raw honey if desired.

2. Mid-Morning — Chaga Tea (Your Coffee Replacement)
This is where people’s minds are usually blown. Chaga is one of Anthony William’s most highly praised healing foods — and when you try it, you’ll understand why it makes such a perfect mid-morning cup.
Chaga possesses immune-system-enhancing nutrients that revitalize white blood cell count by increasing the production of lymphocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, and eosinophils, so that your body can battle invaders such as toxins and pathogens.
Chaga strengthens the liver and the adrenals, making it more difficult for pathogens such as viruses and bacteria to survive inside the body. This is huge — because in the MM world, so many chronic symptoms trace back to a burdened liver and weakened adrenals.

3. Afternoon — Hibiscus & Lemon Balm Liver Flush Tea
The afternoon is the perfect time to give your liver some extra love. Anthony William recommends drinking plenty of hibiscus and lemon balm tea during his healing protocols — this helps to flush toxins out of the liver.
Together, hibiscus and lemon balm create a powerhouse afternoon blend. Hibiscus is deeply supportive for the liver, high in antioxidants, and has a beautiful tart flavour that makes this tea genuinely enjoyable to drink. Lemon balm, as we know, continues its liver-detoxifying, antiviral work throughout the day.
This is also a wonderful moment to check in with your overall healing practice — how’s your celery juice routine? Are you staying hydrated? Are you nourishing yourself with fruit and leafy greens?
Afternoon Liver Flush Tea Recipe (MM-aligned):
- 1 tsp dried hibiscus flowers
- 1 tsp dried lemon balm leaves
- 1 cup hot water
- Optional: squeeze of fresh lemon
- Optional: 1 tsp raw honey or a few drops of maple syrup
Steep for 7–10 minutes. Strain and enjoy.
Add lemon and sweetener if desired.
This combination comes directly from Anthony William’s liver detox protocols, as shared in Liver Rescue. Make it beautiful — pour it into a nice glass and take five quiet minutes to enjoy it.
4. Evening — Chamomile & Passionflower Wind-Down Tea
As the day winds down, your body begins its most important healing work: the liver’s overnight repair and detoxification cycle. The best thing you can do is support your nervous system in truly letting go, so your body can focus on healing while you sleep.
This is where chamomile — one of Anthony William’s most recommended healing teas — shines.
Chamomile tea benefits the liver and kidneys by stimulating them to purge out any toxins and cleanse them from the system. It also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties making it especially beneficial in fighting against colds, flus, infections, and even Candida.
Chamomile tea is beneficial for insomnia, sleep disturbances, racing mind, high anxiety and stress. It also has the ability to soothe a disturbed digestive system by easing flatulence, stomach aches, ulcers, and cramping and by assisting in overall digestion and elimination.
Evening Wind-Down Tea Recipe (MM-aligned):
- 1 tsp dried chamomile flowers
- 1 tsp dried passionflower (also on Anthony William's preferred teas list)
- 1 cup hot water
- Optional: 1 tsp raw honey
Steep for 10–15 minutes (MM teas benefit from longer steeping).
Strain, sweeten with raw honey if desired, and unwind.
Turn off your screens, dim the lights, and make this cup your sacred transition into the evening. Your liver will do its deepest healing while you sleep — chamomile helps set the stage.
5 Raw Healing Tips to Make This Routine Stick
1.Always start with lemon water first.
Before any tea in the morning, follow Anthony William’s foundational protocol: 16–32oz of lemon water on an empty stomach. This is the non-negotiable foundation that everything else builds on.
2. Steep your teas longer than you think.
Anthony William recommends steeping MM healing teas for a minimum of 10–15 minutes — much longer than conventional tea instructions. This extracts significantly more of the healing compounds. Cover your cup while steeping to keep the medicinal volatile oils from escaping.
3.Use raw honey intentionally, not habitually.
Raw honey is Anthony William’s sweetener of choice for healing teas — not just for flavour, but because it actively drives herbal medicine deeper into the body. That said, use it mindfully, especially if you’re working on blood sugar balance.
4.Keep your herbs visible and beautiful.
