What I Wish I Knew Before Starting My Healing Journey
By Jassim | Raw Healing by Jassim
When I first discovered Anthony William and the Medical Medium protocols, I dove in headfirst — eager, motivated, and convinced I’d be healed in a matter of weeks.
That’s not what happened.
What I didn’t understand then (but wish someone had told me) is that healing on the MM path requires a complete shift in how you think about food, time, your body, and what “getting better” actually looks like.
If you’re just starting out — or if you’ve been on this path for a while and feel stuck — here’s what I wish I’d known from day one.
1. Healing Takes Longer Than You Think (And That’s Okay)
The pathogens and toxins causing your symptoms have been in your body for years — maybe even decades. You’re not going to undo that damage in a week.
Some people feel better quickly. Others take months or even years to see major shifts. This isn’t a reflection of whether you’re “doing it right.” Your body has its own timeline, and comparison is the thief of healing.
What helped me: Tracking small wins. More energy one afternoon. A clearer thought. One good night of sleep. These aren’t nothing — they’re everything.
2. You’ll Feel Worse Before You Feel Better (Detox Is Real)
When your body starts detoxifying — especially with celery juice, the Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie, and removing troublemaker foods — you might experience detox symptoms: headaches, fatigue, skin breakouts, mood swings, digestive changes.
This is your liver releasing years of stored toxins. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s also proof that the protocols are working.
What helped me: Slowing down when needed. Drinking more lemon water. Resting more. Trusting the process even when it felt hard.
3. Consistency Matters More Than Perfection
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be consistent.
Missing a day of celery juice isn’t the end of the world. Eating something off-protocol at a family gathering doesn’t erase your progress. What matters is getting back on track the next day — and the day after that.
Anthony William’s protocols work when you stick with them over time. Not when you do them perfectly for a week and then give up.
What helped me: Building routines I could actually sustain. Prepping celery the night before. Packing fruit for the day. Making healing as easy as possible.

4. You Have to Actually Remove Troublemaker Foods (No Cheating)
This was the hardest lesson for me. I wanted to keep eating eggs “just on weekends” or have dairy “in moderation.” But here’s the truth: if you’re chronically ill, moderation doesn’t work.
Eggs, dairy, gluten, and the other troublemaker foods feed the pathogens causing your symptoms. Eating them occasionally means you’re still feeding the viruses and bacteria that are making you sick.
Anthony William is clear: if you want to heal, you have to stop feeding what’s harming you. Fully. Not partially.
What helped me: Finding MM-approved substitutes I actually enjoyed. Learning to cook differently. Letting go of the idea that I was “missing out.” or You Only Live Once (YOLO).
5. Your Nervous System Needs as Much Attention as Your Food
You can eat all the healing foods in the world, but if you’re chronically stressed, your body can’t heal. Stress produces excess adrenaline, which according to Anthony William in Liver Rescue, is toxic to your nervous system and forces your liver to work overtime.
Healing requires rest. It requires slowing down. It requires saying no to things that drain you.
What helped me: Grazing throughout the day to keep blood sugar stable. Prioritizing sleep. Practicing breathwork. Letting myself rest without guilt.
6. Healing Isn’t Linear (And That’s Normal)
Some days you’ll feel amazing. Other days you’ll feel like you’re back at square one. This is normal. Healing isn’t a straight line — it’s a spiral.
You’re releasing toxins in layers. You’re clearing pathogens that have been dormant for years. Your body is rebuilding itself from the inside out. That process has ups and downs.
What helped me: Journaling my symptoms so I could see progress over weeks and months, not just day-to-day. Trusting that even when I felt worse, my body was still healing.
7. You Need Support (You Can’t Do This Alone)

The MM path can feel isolating. Most people don’t understand why you’re drinking celery juice or why you can’t just “have a little cheese.” Doctors might dismiss you. Friends might judge you.
Having someone in your corner — a coach, a community, a friend who gets it — makes all the difference.
What helped me: Connecting with other people on the MM path. Finding a coach who understood what I was going through. Giving myself permission to ask for help.
The Truth About Healing
Healing isn’t a miracle. It’s a process. It’s showing up every day, even when you don’t see results yet. It’s trusting your body, trusting the protocols, and trusting that the small choices you’re making are adding up — even when it doesn’t feel like it.
If I could go back and tell myself one thing before I started, it would be this: Be patient. Be consistent. And trust that your body knows how to heal when you give it what it needs.
